Key issues
1. Housing fit - assembly vs mold
Mark’s July 6 read is that the top-bottom mismatch is parts variation and tolerances, hard to judge from a single sample.
- The sharp edges are already corrected in the tool; Mark is verifying.
- Decide Monday: a first run on stock parts, or mold work first. Dr. B authorizes.
2. Inventory reconciliation
The stock count needs squaring before we size any mold run.
- Mark puts Eastek at 400+ housing sets; the June 9 shortage report shows the cone cap at zero on hand.
- Part-by-part reconciliation on Monday’s call.
3. Battery end-of-life
The Pytes cell is discontinued; Eastek proposes the BFN alternate at the same specs and cost.
- Open question: does the swap need revalidation, or do we take the last-time buy.
- Regulatory read before Eastek orders.
4. Packaging release
The full artwork, manual, and drawings pack went to Eastek July 8.
- Eastek confirms coverage Monday; boxes run a 6-8 day lead once released.
5. PO size (EAU)
Keith’s open question is whether the 25K blanket PO is still right.
- MOQ and pricing follow from the answer.
Next steps
Monday, July 13 - Eastek status call
- Stock reconciliation, the fit path, packaging confirmation, and the battery answer, with a committed dock date on each short part.
Mark / SmartShape
- Tool-correction verification result and which stock it covers; he gets the meeting details today.
Hold October 16
- Any mold run books by mid-August to make the dock date; everything above works back from that.
