1
Eastek parts & dock dates
Scott Cass (Eastek PM, intro'd 6/25) · Anne Pettinger (NPI) · Keith Sanders (account) · Avery coordinating
In motion
Status
Avery's 6/10 request-by date stands: 500 units by Oct 16, 2026, and another 500 by Jan 1, 2027. Eastek is updating the quote and pricing the short components (Anne, 6/25; she was out the week of 7/6). 34 open BOM lines on the 6/9 shortage report; commodity lines are same-day spot-buys, the date-risk is the molded family, the long-leads, and print.
Dates
Status call Monday Jul 13, 11:00-11:30 AM (Teams, Keith organizing; confirm ET vs PT off the calendar entry). Keith's 7/8 questions to answer there: EAU 25K still correct, MOQ follows EAU, packaging received, battery swap.
Next
Use Monday's call to convert quoted lead times into committed dock dates on the 12 date-risk parts (table below) and to reconcile Eastek's shortage lines against Mark's 400+ in-stock claim.

Housing-fit resolution — assembly vs mold
Mark Cartellone (SmartShape) · Dr. B decision · Spiro Vamvakas (LogiSync) independent read
Decision pending
Status
Mark replied 7/6 to Adam's follow-up: mismatch between top and bottom housings is parts variation and tolerances; he can't tell much from one sample or whether assembly contributes; sharp edges in the top cover are already corrected in the tool and he's verifying the correction; gate blemishes are process marks. He proposes a production run with the parts in stock to see how everything looks. Per the 7/8 call, Dr. B also wants Spiro's independent view on whether new tooling is warranted (thread routed privately by Brittany).
Dates
Mark is on vacation the week of 7/6, possibly available Friday 7/10, otherwise next week - which lines up with Monday's 7/13 Eastek call if he gets the invite (his 7/9 note: the forward didn't show the date). Still owed: a hard defect count across received units.
Next
Get Mark the meeting time; land one agreed path on Monday's call (run with stock parts + verified tool correction, or mold modification first); Dr. B authorizes.

3
SmartShape molded parts run
Mark Cartellone (SmartShape, Shenzhen molding)
Reconcile, then schedule
Status
12 custom injection-molded + 3 metal parts. MOQ 2,000, ~6-week lead, air freight (Eastek picks up at the Shenzhen dock). Open discrepancy: the 6/9 shortage report shows cone cap at zero on hand and heatsink 75 of 500, while Mark (7/6) says Eastek should hold 400+ pieces of the housing parts he stocked (500 put in, ~25 units built). Someone's numbers are stale; reconcile part-by-part before sizing the run.
Dates
If a mold run is needed, working back from Oct 16 with a 6-week lead plus air freight it must schedule by roughly mid-August. If stock covers the build (Mark's claim), the run may only be needed for the Jan 1 second 500.
Next
Part-by-part stock reconciliation on Monday's call; then either schedule the run or release the build on stock parts.
4
Assembly — PCBA and final build
Eastek (Scott Cass) · Avery operational
Pending
Status
Main board PCBA0008-1: 80 of 500 built; SMT completes as parts land. Mark confirms no more than ~25 full units built to date. His suggestion: arrange a production run with parts in stock and inspect fit across real volume rather than judging from one sample.
Next
Eastek to confirm the assembly window once the fit path and stock reconciliation land; if the answer is an assembly adjustment, document the procedure before the line runs.
5
QA — defect count and acceptance
Eastek line QA · Avery acceptance · Mark (tool-correction verification)
Pending
Status
Two verifications now in play: Mark's verification of the sharp-edge tool correction (in progress, and he doesn't know what corrected vs uncorrected stock Eastek holds), and the standing gap of a hard count of units showing the lifted housing. Acceptance criteria for fit (how much top-bottom variation is acceptable) need writing down before the 500 run so the build doesn't ship the same complaint.
Next
Mark to report the tool-correction verification result and which inventory lots it covers; fold fit-acceptance criteria into the build paperwork with Eastek.
6
Packaging, print & ship
Adam (artwork, sent 7/8) · Keith Sanders (Eastek receiving) · Avery
Sent, awaiting confirm
Status
The packaging pack went out 7/8: Adam sent Keith and the full Eastek team the 2024 Pondel thread with the approved giftbox artwork, manual, and drawings attached. Waiting on Eastek to confirm it covers what planning and purchasing need for the initial 500 (giftbox artwork, IFU manual, updated drawings). Print items: owner's manual INS0004 (500), charger label LBL0009 (1,000), set-up box BOX0109 (500, 6-8 day lead).
New risk
Pytes battery is EOL per the manufacturer (last-time buy of 30K units available). Eastek proposes the BFN alternate, same specs and cost; open question from Keith 7/8 is whether the swap requires revalidation - loop MRC/regulatory before answering.
Next
Eastek confirms the packaging pack on Monday's call; regulatory read on the battery swap; ship target remains the Oct 16 dock.
The 12 date-risk parts
From the 6/9 shortage report and 6/10 recovery tracker - now to be reconciled against Mark's 7/6 claim of 400+ housing sets in Eastek stock. Ask on each: a committed dock date, not a quoted lead time.

Who owes what this week

  • Mark (SmartShape)
Tool-correction verification result and which stock it covers; join Monday's Eastek call (he still needs the date/time).
  • Eastek (Scott Cass / Keith / Anne)
Committed dock dates, stock reconciliation, packaging-pack confirmation, battery-swap detail - all on Monday's call.
  • Spiro (LogiSync)
Independent tooling read on the thread Brittany forwarded (per the 7/8 call).
  • Adam
Answer Mark with the meeting time; confirm Eastek has everything from the 7/8 packaging send.
  • Avery
Re-send the invite to Mark with the time visible; own the EAU / MOQ answer with Dr. B.
  • Dr. B
Authorize the fit path once Monday's call lands one recommendation; weigh in on EAU 25K.

Open decisions

  • Run on stock parts vs mold modification first. Mark's 7/6 proposal vs the defect complaint; Dr. B decides on Monday's output, with Spiro's read.
  • Battery swap revalidation. Pytes EOL; BFN alternate same specs/cost. Regulatory answer needed before Eastek orders (last-time-buy window on Pytes is an alternative).
  • EAU: keep the 25K PO or adjust. Keith's 7/8 question; MOQ and pricing follow from it.
  • Fit acceptance criteria. How much top-bottom variation is acceptable, and the hard defect count across received units.
